About
I studied Philosophy as an Undergraduate at the University of Hertfordshire before completing an MA in Literature Theory in 2004. My MA dissertation entitled ‘Novel or Anti-Novel? An examination of narrative strategies in William S. Burroughs’ Naked Lunch’ was awarded a commendation. I am currently undertaking a PhD entitled 'American Identity and Representation in the Work of William S. Burroughs and Paul Bowles' at the University of Kent, supervised by Professor David Ayers. I have a strong interest in creative writing, having contributed to a poetry collection, and have a portfolio of short stories, some of which I have performed at public readings. I organised a multi-platform event at the Cube Nanoplex in Bristol, UK as part of the Nakedlunch@50 worldwide celebration in 2009.
