is a Lecturer in Latin Literature in the School of European Culture and Languages at the University of Kent, England.
My main specialism is Latin literature. I am currently completing a book on monsters and monstrosity in Roman culture which focuses on the poetry of the Augustan period.
My next project after that will be a study of ugliness in imperial Rome.
I am also interested in how popular culture responds to classical antiquity, especially in video games.
