About
I have completed my PhD in Law from the Kent Law School, University of Kent in March 2012. My thesis explores the interface of criminal and constitutional laws in India. I focus on the criminal laws that specifically seek to govern sexual conduct and investigate their relationship to the constitutional principles of equality and human dignity. The thesis specifically investigates the constructions of female personhood in this specific area of criminal law in the backdrop of the legal person constructed by the Indian Constitution. My research relies primarily on feminist theory and methodology.
I have taught Contract Law in the University of Kent as a Teaching Assistant from 2006-2009 and as an Assistant Lecturer during 2010-2011
