Thesis Title: A grammar of Wawa - an endangered language of Cameroon
About
Languages have always been my passion. Apart from being a language sponge I like looking behind words to find structures. My main research interests include Phonetics/Phonology, Language Documentation, TAM systems, Morphology and so much more.
So far I have worked on Wawa (Bantoid) for my PhD thesis towards a grammatical description of the language. I have assisted in the phonetic transcription of several Bantu A 80 languages and done a phonetic analysis of Kwasio (Bantu A 80) vowels for the WOCAL6 presentation. I edited a sketch grammar for Ngarluma (Pama Nyungan) and expanded the phonology chapter for Wangka Maya Aboriginal Language Centre.
My interest in endangered languages lead to sociolinguistic topics in my BA and MA theses, on European minority languages, esp. Irish and Frisian.
