About
My initial training and work experience has been in nutrition and public health nutrition - particularly in developing countries. After working on conservation projects at the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, I became interested in biological diversity and its relationship with human health.
Additional time spent in the field has made me realise that the rationale behind human choices is an important factor in dietary choice, and bio-diversity (food resource) management.
My PhD will give me training in the social sciences, and enable me to understand mechanisms of dietary and food resource choice.
These will complement my current skills set in public health nutrition and conservation.
