About
My research interests include multimedia theatre, intermedial performance practices, and interactive art. I joined the University of Kent in 2007 from Sydney, Australia where I completed her PhD, and currently teach a variety of modules including Modern Theatre, Multimedia Theatre, Acting, and Performing Classical Texts. My book Multimedia Performance, co-written with Edward Scheer, is being published in 2011 and I have published articles and chapters in the fields of postdramatic theatre and new media performance. I'm a member of the ‘Intermediality in Theatre and Performance’ working group of the International Federation for Theatre Research (IFTR) and the national Theatre and Performance Research Association (TAPRA).
My main interests and focus at the moment involve the investigation of various forms of interactive spectatorship throughout the last century and contemporary examples of interactive practice including games, play, new media and intimate performance.
